From “justice” towards “Islamic justice”

The topic of my report is the social, economic and political background of the appearance of the first Islamic organizations during the perestroika period in Namagan (the Fergana Valley). I will focus on the history of the appearance of the group “Adolat” (“Justice”) and the new religious political organization “Islam Adolati”, which arose in the beginning of 1991. The founder and leader of the group was Tahir Yuldash Yuldashev, who later became the leader (Amir) of sadly well-known organization “Islam Movement of Uzbekistan” (IMU).
